The trails out here that I drove are mostly sand. I didn’t often need to engage 4×4, but there were several times where I would have been very stuck if I didn’t have 4×4.

Another thing is that many (if not most) of the trails that were not major dirt roads through the forest were quite narrow. My brand new Tundra now has tons of little scratches all down the sides of the truck. I’m not upset about it because it’s part of the game, but if you are thinking of taking your $85,000.00 Land Rover there, you might want to consider staying on the major roads, though you’ll miss a lot of beautiful spots… I had my truck detailed afterward and got rid of about 3/4 of the scratches and scrapes, but some are there to stay unless I pay for a full machine polish.
